A new beginning, the collection of Spring Summer of 2017 proposes a study of proportions and volume alongside deconstructed draping balanced by sharp tailoring. Fluid fabric mixes with rigid and the sporty details throughout the collection adds a playful interaction between masculine feminine. Pattern range from micro stripes to wide stripes and harmonise within the collection to help lifting the palette. This season the emphasis is on elevated fabrics rendered in luxe Triacetate, Italian cotton stretch, Crisp cotton poplin, structured fine weave. We see canvas balanced with tactile Washed Silk, Tencel and Modal Cupro blends. Fresh new knitwear includes chunky knits adding beautiful texture and is balanced by Cash-air adding a sense of luxury and femininity to the knitwear.
Details are paired down giving room to the strong proportions and volumes instead, adding to the minimalist appeal. The essential silhouettes are the trapeze shapes seen in outerwear, pants, skirts, tops and dresses. Wide proportions and cropped lengths is key for trouser silhouettes. A focus is on altered abstracted draping, creating a modern silhouette with an one of a kind appeal. Dramatic floor-sweeping lengths are a key design. Shirt dress and Vest acquire side plits and minimalist tabard-style silhouettes, designed to sit over pant styles. While precise tailoring is important to anchor this collection.
Crisp white balanced with creamy navajo and shade of greys provide a calming pure effect. Chiffon adds a feminine air, while the deeper shades in rock, bright navy and navy gives a fresh masculine edge, harmonising with neutrals. A shot of mulberry is an important accent tone, elevating the palette. Sunglow is bringing a surprising twist to lightly lift the palette.
