Sometimes an unexpected burst of unfiltered sensorial nostalgia can trigger an avalanche of positive, heartwarming sensations within one’s mind, and let’s be honest, we have all spent the past year or so, reminiscing and holding onto our most cherished moments for comfort and a much-needed energy boost. Prada has, for the house’s FW 21 ad campaign has sought to capture the mosaics of fleeting feelings, through a visual narrative that pairs up different sensorial experiences, side by side, to go beyond the surface, and dive directly into the most profound.
But what does it mean to feel in the context of this season’s Prada ad campaign? Is it strictly confined to the realm of the physical or does the intimate emotional sensation hold precedence. Judging by the David Sims lensed advertisement, both of these sensorial experiences can and should go together, if anything their coexistence helps paint a more vivid and complete picture.
