Inside the Patou Spring/Summer 2026 Collection: Where Bubbles Meet Power Dressing
Dreamt up by Guillaume Henry, Patou unveiled its Spring/Summer 2026 collection, “Joy,” in Paris. This show was definitely something to behold!
Modern Culture of Tomorrow takes a closer look at Patou’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection…

Bubble Trouble
Bubbles are back! Once a ubiquitous trend in the 2010s – soon dismissed and shoved to the back of our closets – the voluminous hip silhouette has returned, and it’s better than ever. The design can be spotted in multiple collections, from Simone Rocha to Cecilie Bahnsen, and now Patou. Paired with a striped mini dress or layered over a pencil skirt, the bubble – also referred to as balloon – silhouette appears in multiple iterations, instantly loosening up an otherwise structured look.

Parisian Palettes
Buttery yellow is combined with shades of lilac for a soft spring mood; flowers in various shades of grey are printed onto a beautiful floor-length gown; and if there’s one thing to take away from the Patou Spring/Summer 2026 show, it’s that polka dots will never go out of style. Black lace is used not only for stockings and mini bralettes but also in a sexy, sleeveless catsuit. The palette feels nostalgic yet contemporary – just like a typical Parisian summer.

Sharp elegance is the red thread that runs throughout this entire collection. It’s found in every silhouette, just as much as lightness and pure joy – which, in the end, is what inspired these designs. While soft in detail, the looks simultaneously exude strength: made for a woman in command, who sees no need to compromise her femininity in order to stay in control.
