Inside the Celine Printemps 2026 Show: A Celebration of Timeless Chic

On Sunday, July 6, Celine unveiled its new Printemps 2026 collection under the creative direction of Michael Rider. While light in volume, the fabrics and materials suggest Michael had a rather windy spring in mind when designing these looks. From leather blousons to fur jackets and a variety of coats, this collection is sure to keep you warm during those pre-summer rain showers.

More Is In Fact More

Belts, necklaces and bag charms all had chunky gold in common, with blue and white sabre-toothed details as well as what could be a lipstick charm. Celine is staying up to date with the trend to accessorise a bag or an outfit more and more. One look even had a leather jacket with one arm completely covered in little Celine charms.

The Shape Of Timelessness

The colours? Reds, blues, whites, blacks and hues of sand – very Parisian. Overall, the designs seemed to have the classic French essence flowing through them, which centres around natural beauty, effortless chic and an unparalleled sense of timelessness – the latter especially highlighted by Rider in his collection notes. The designer emphasises that he “always loved the idea of clothing that lives on, that becomes part of the wearers life that may capture a moment in time but also speaks to years and years of gestures and occasions and change, of the past, the present and the future, of memories, of usefulness and of fantasy, of life really.”

Très Parisienne

Balloon trousers, exaggerated long blazers and a styling that suggests we were, in fact, not witnessing a fashion show but just beautiful people on their way to work. Ballet flats and loafers add to the idea of running around Paris. Chic yet practical is the motto. Another dominant accessory was silk scarves – small but mighty in their versatility and one of the brand’s signature categories since the 1970s.

With its careful balance of heritage and modernity, Michael Rider’s Celine offers not just a collection, but a quiet manifesto on dressing for life – timeless, thoughtful, and undeniably Parisienne.
