The human aspect in focus as the future gets closer – Jil Sander Fall 2018 RTW

With cocoon-like creations, flirting with the future in sharp cuts and contrasting elements, Jil Sander want to show us the importance of staying human as the future gets closer.
The importance of the human aspect is shown with comfortable fabrics and cuts made for movement. Clothes to be wearable, with a hint of protection, makes the wearer ready to jump into the challenging future we are awaiting. The contrast of modern and rigid shapes combined with soft materials adds a warm and gentle touch. Accessories with perceptible and sharp silhouettes lightened with paddings and simple fastenings gives a modern and soft balance. The large floral prints wrapping around the models gives us a possitive wibe about the future, if we belive in it.
It is all about staying grounded and true to oneself when the changes are ahead of us. Having the women and mens collection shown at the same time tells us the importance of the human touch neverthless the gender.
The future is bright, if we embrace our human feelings.
