Dior – Exploring America Through Collaborating with Hip-Hop Artist

In this season, Dior’s newly-released Summer 2022 Men’s collection goes to Texas – one of the first destinations on this odyssey, whose special landscapes made a long-lasting impression.

There is a deeply rooted connection of street and hip-hop culture inspiring Dior rapidly during the recent years of collections, and so that’s why Kim Jones has lassoed this legacy and collaborated with the Texas-born rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer Travis Scott. The tailoring technique reflects the savoir-faire of the house, as it leads a touch of formality to contrast with the sportswear elements.

Travis Scott reimagined the Dior logotype through a series of graphics, while the accessories feature a revisited Dior Oblique core theme. A sense of fine art is also shown here by Dior exploring America through the eyes of fashion – in a series of works, the collaboration between Kim Jones and Travis Scott has created a new vision of Dior menswear and street fashion.
