An Aquatic Chanel: Spring/ Summer 2018 Collection

Karl Lagerfeld never fails in the creativity department. From grocery stores, to hotel bars, to rocket ships shooting into the air at the Grand Palais, Karl never disappoints. Actually, does he ever disappoint in any department? I wonder if the guy ever gets any rest.

On October third, the Grand Palais housed yet another stupendously successful Chanel collection. Complete with aquatic tones, mid-drift baring tops targeting the millennials, intense eye makeup, and an array of wide shoulders. Lagerfeld embodied the classic tweed and bell-boy jacket with a modern twist, being an occurring theme among fashion week collections this season.

Passing through a faux Gorges du Verdon, the collection set the stage of what trends to expect for the warm seasons of the year. Transparent plastic boots and hats made an appearance, along with Teardrop earrings clearly representing the water friendly theme.

Karl, has taken a dauntless approach for the spring/summer season to come. He has incorporated cropped blouses (as seen on show opener, Kaia Gerber) adding to the assortment of skin baring clothing aimed towards a younger crowd within the collection.

The collection is strict in its framing, but relaxed in its wear:

Karl Lagerfeld has never disappointed in collections and sets alike. Another job well-done Karl, we approve, feel free to send us the entire collection.
